subculture

I am planning on doing my subculture on life in the country.
Since i live in the country, there are many people around me that i could interview. For my paper though i plan on interviewing my dad. He has lived in our neighborhood his whole life, and could give me more perspective on it then anyone else.

One of the questions that i plan on asking, to get started on my paper is..

1. why do you think the country is different then the city.

I was told me research proposal that I first handed in was to broad. When i plan on rewriting my proposal i want to narrow dowm my topic to just autism. I would like to cover autism in general, austism in different age groups, history, and treatments. I would also like to touch on Asperger syndrome if possible.

First Source

1)Adapting for Students With Autism. (EBSCO HOST)
General Music Today; Winter2009, Vol. 22 Issue 2, p24-26, 3p

This source concentrates on Autism in music classrooms. Since Autism disrupts a child's ability to have normal social skills and communication, they aren't able to express themselves like other children are able to. The rest of the article explains the symptoms that follow autistic children and how they have to live their live. This article will be beneficial to me during my research.

Top 3 topics

1) What causes certain disabilites and how do they effect people's lives?
This is my top choice for my research paper for a couple of reasons. Going to edinboro you see a lot of students with various disabilites. Many people take their life for granted and don't understand how much it effects your life to be disabilied. I know myself I am not very well informed about the subject and would like to learn more, about what causes it, or how people have to rearrange their live to make it as easy as possible.
2) Why do we dream?
This is my second research question because it is interesting to me. Everyone dreams and never really understands why. Some nights you don't even remember what went through your mind, and I would like to educate myself on why that is. I would also like to learn about how your mind filters about activites from the day and why you find yourself dreaming about it later that night.
3) How to people get addicted?
Everyone always hears about people being addicted to certain drugs or even things as harmless as caffeine. I don't understand how a persons mind gets addicted to certain substances and what makes them so appealing to the human mind. Also i would like to learn how it is so impossible to stop yourself from consuming these drugs.
